It was wonderful to have U.S. Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester stop by the Historic Lewes Farmers Market on Saturday! We are so appreciative of the Senator for taking the time to speak with HLFM volunteers about our food access programming, especially our SNAP Match Program, as well as our farmers about their businesses and the essential work of growing food to feed our community.

Meet the 2026 HLFM Wednesday Market Vendors

16 farmers and producers will be bringing fresh produce, meats, eggs, honey, bread and pastries, mushrooms, flower bouquets, and more to the Market every Wednesday morning.

Join us at Crooked Hammock Brewery parking lot from 8-11:30am at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market's Wednesday Opening Day on June 3rd. We can't wait for our mid-week fix for fresh, local food to begin!

The Historic Lewes Farmers Market is excited to welcome back Chef Matt Kern of One Coastal this Saturday, May 30th for a Market Demonstration at 10am at the Demo Tent. Chef Matt will be preparing a Napa Cabbage Salad with spicy coconut fish sauce dressing, highlighting seasonal flavors.

Chef Matt has been the Executive Chef and Owner of One Coastal for the past 5 years. Through his extensive connections with local farmers, his menus focus on food that is hyper-seasonal and locally sourced. Chef Matt was Delaware’s first ever Finalist for “Best Chef Mid-Atlantic “ for the James Beard Foundation, and a semifinalist in 2019 and 2020. When not at the restaurant, Chef usually spends his time hanging out with his family or fly fishing around spots in Delaware.

At the Wednesday Market this season, customers will find 4 familiar farmers from our Saturday Market, now at the Crooked Hammock Brewery as well. Join us in welcoming Brittingham Farms , Caribe Locavore Farm The Delaware Locavore, Enoch Farms, and Reid Angus to the HLFM Markets on Wednesdays!

The HLFM Wednesday Market at Crooked Hammock opens next Wednesday, June 3rd from 8 to 11:30 am. The Market runs through the summer, until Wednesday, September 2nd. We can't wait to see you there!

The Market is back at George H.P. Smith Park this Saturday, May 30th from 8am–12pm 🥦🥕🍄‍🟫

Strawberry season is still going strong, and our local farmers and producers will bring beautiful spring produce, fresh breads and pastries, meats, seafood, flowers, mushrooms, eggs, jams, honey, and so much more to Market.

At 10am, visit the Market Demo with Chef Matt Kern of One Coastal restaurant or gather your little ones under the yellow tent for Children's Storytime.

Raffle tickets will be on sale: enter to win a Chef's Tasting at Lewes Oyster House, a beautiful veggie quilt, or gift cards to local restaurants and activities.
THIS WEEK ONLY - DAILY DRAWING: "A Moment For Mom" raffle prize includes gift certificates to Sea Barre fitness, Grove + Evelyn, KS Nails & Spa, and a beautiful bouquet from Winters Farms Florals. The winner will be drawn at 11am.
SNAP is accepted at the Market with a match up to $20 per customer. Customers can continue supporting the Food Pantry Purchase Program by donating fresh local food or funds at the Market.

New Vendor Announcement!📢 The HLFM is excited to welcome GW's Garden Goods to the Wednesday Market this season.

GW’s Garden Goods is run by Jacki and Dustin Schell, whose growing journey began as a backyard hobby and has blossomed into a meaningful way to reconnect with the outdoors and create something by hand. Named in honor of Jacki’s grandfather, George Warren—known in the Lewes community for his homegrown garden and strong character—GW’s Garden Goods carries forward his legacy through thoughtful, locally grown offerings.

Jacki and Dustin grow and arrange fresh bouquets using whatever is in bloom each week, creating seasonal arrangements that reflect the natural rhythm of the garden. Each bouquet is handpicked and wrapped with care, rooted in a love of community, family, and home.

Carey Apiary and Farm is a honey farm based in Frankford, Delaware, owned and operated by first-generation farmer Patrick Carey. Specializing in local raw honey and handcrafted beeswax products, Patrick brings a deep level of expertise to his work as a certified pollinator steward, apitherapist, and Master Beekeeper.
