Meet Our Vendors

Paula and James Wykle have Mountain Top Farm on Butler Mountain Road in Renick. They have been growing produce and vegetables for more than 30 years. What started as a small hobby before retirement has become a full‑time farm they enjoy.

They grow “Old Timey” varieties of vegetables, along with produce in three high tunnels and their outdoor fields. They spent 15 years running a pick‑your‑own farm and still raise blueberries today.

Their best seller is asparagus, and his personal favorite is blueberries. If you’re stopping by for the first time, you need to buy a rhubarb plant!

Farmers Market days are busy, but meeting people makes it worthwhile. They’ve been part of this group of Farmers market vendors for years and appreciate the steady support. To them, supporting local simply means selling and buying from your neighbors.

Stop by their booth and say hello!

A little midweek hello from the Farmers Market of Lewisburg. While the week moves along, our farmers are tending their rows, our bakers are working through their batches, and our makers are getting their tables ready for Saturday. All that behind the scenes work is what fills the Farmers Market of Lewisburg with good things each week.

If you’re planning your meals or thinking about something fresh and local, this is a good time to make space in your weekend for a visit. The Farmers Market of Lewisburg will be set up on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at the Robert C. Byrd Clinic Parking Lot, ready with friendly faces and plenty to explore.

Always a good day for the Market! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F8-LmUna4Y

Thank you for Wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend at the Farmers Market of Lewisburg!

Saturday, May 8, 2026 was a beautiful morning at the Farmers Market of Lewisburg. From the first tents going up to the last customers heading home, the day was full of community.

Our vendors worked incredibly hard to make this Mother’s Day weekend special. Long before the market opened, they were unloading trucks, arranging displays, setting out fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, herbal products and handmade items, and getting everything just right. The video captures that early morning rhythm and the heart behind every table.

A special thank you to Bootstraps Farm for tending the Make Mom a Flower Pot activity. Kids of all ages stopped by their tent throughout the morning to plant a flower for someone they love, creating sweet, handmade gifts that added so much joy to the market.

To our vendors thank you for your dedication, your early mornings, and the love you pour into your work. You are the reason this market feels alive.

To our customers thank you for showing up, supporting local growers and makers, and filling the Robert C. Byrd Clinic parking lot on Route 219 with such good energy.

Video by Dreama Morgan.

We are grateful for each of you and hope your Mother’s Day weekend was as bright as the market itself.

Meet Our Vendors:

Meet Potluck Farm, formerly known as On the Levels, run by Adam Craten in Hillsboro. Adam grows organically raised produce, offering fresh, nutritious food for the community.

He started farming to provide good food for his family, friends and neighbors. Adam focuses on organic practices and grows unique varieties you won’t find everywhere, including special peppers, melons and heirloom favorites. High tunnel production helps him keep quality high throughout the season.

Tomatoes, peppers and corn are his best sellers. His personal favorite is Providence, a bicolor sweet corn. If you’re visiting for his booth first time, try the heirloom purple cherry tomatoes.

Farmers Market days are busy, but seeing customers leave smiling with fresh local produce makes it all worth it. Dry conditions have been his biggest challenge, but his commitment to growing good food remains strong.

Adam chose the Farmers Market of Lewisburg because he enjoys the atmosphere, people and the vendors. Selling locally lets him provide fresh, nutritious food straight to the community. Supporting local, to him, means showing up, buying from farmers and keeping food available farm to table.

We’re glad to have Potluck Farm as part of our farmers market family.

Meet Our Vendors

Weikle Places is owned by Deborah and Donald Weikle on Flat Mountain near Alderson. They bring vegetables, produce, and handmade quilts to the farmers market. Their family has been farming for 30 years, with 7 of those as a couple.

Deborah was inspired by her mom, Frances Smith, who operated F and F greenhouse in Fairlea. Their lettuce is raised in a high tunnel, tomatoes are grown outside, and everything is hand watered.

Their best sellers are eggs, green beans, and potatoes. Lettuce is the item they recommend trying first.

Market days start early for them. They enjoy meeting new people, and frost has been the biggest challenge this year.

They chose to sell at the Farmers Market of Lewisburg because it was her mom’s home farmers market. Selling locally matters to them because they know their customers, and supporting local means helping people.
