Our grinder broke.

Within thirty minutes all of our production came to a complete standstill.

The boys couldn’t grind any meat.

Grayson couldn’t make pepperoni (or sausage).

We knew that within a few hours the guys would run out of product to get into the smoker.

Trevor was frantically making phone calls to our machine dealers across multiple provinces.

Four to six weeks.

The replacement part needs to come from Germany.

One of our staff members had accidentally put the grinder pieces back on (the wrong way), after cleaning the machine…and forced it on.

The back of the shop was very quiet while we realized that within a day our storefront would run out of product.

And we had fundraisers to fill.

Oh hell.

Trevor says, I honestly don’t know what to do. I’ll take the parts to a machine shop to see if they can fix the mashed threads?

Call Jaryd. Call him right now.

I bet he will help us.

For two weeks straight…he opened up the back of his meat shop, for us ❤️

Our competition.

Only two blocks over from us….he did this for us.

Trevor and Jaryd have always had a great friendship. They are always calling eachother…hey man, I ran out of pattie papers. I desperately need a box of casing…and it’s Sunday. Where do you get your turkey netting from?

They share a meat supplier.

They share knowledge.

They share advice.

We walked into his shop this afternoon and Jaryd is behind the counter serving his customers.

You are an incredible neighbour, you run a great business (even if we are your competitors), and you’re a great guy.

We purchased $1,000 of gift cards from him today to give away to our own customers that came into our store this afternoon.
