EXTREME HEAT UPDATE ☀️🔥: SPECIAL MARKET HOURS

Due to the extreme heat, the Historic Downtown Liberty Farmers Market will open earlier and close earlier this Saturday, 8/15/26:

🕖 7:00–11:00 a.m.

As a morning market, we benefit from cooler temperatures early in the day. The greatest risk typically develops as we approach noon, when temperatures and the heat index begin rising rapidly.

Opening and closing earlier allows us to prioritize safety while supporting our farmers, who have ripe produce ready to sell, and serving the vendors and customers, including neighbors who rely on SNAP benefits, who depend on the market.

Please shop early, stay hydrated, and take appropriate precautions in the heat. If conditions become unsafe during the morning, we will reassess and communicate any additional changes.
