We are wanting to share a little more than just trees on this page and add some of our everyday moments that come with loving nature, learning, and life around the farm.
This summer, the boys and I are making weekly trips to the library, reading a simple book during breakfast and a chapter book during snack and then doing simple, fun learning activities and art projects based on what we read.
This week our chapter book is, A Wolf Called Wander and our book for today was, The Magic and Mystery of Trees…. Actually learned some interesting things!
Wyatt practiced math by adding apples to his tree, while Colton learned how to estimate tree age by measuring circumference and then we did some math based on what type of tree it is.
The first tree is estimated to be around 43 years old. The second tree around 165 years old and the last tree around 105 years old.
Pretty amazing to think about all the history those trees have seen!
