Join us on Pink Friday - Nov 22 - 1:30 - 3:00pm for a delightful time around the table. How about being with Bev Nelson, re-entering her story telling, now with a published book! The readings and signing will be complimented by Danish refreshments provided by Denmark Deb - who compiled and got the books published. Hope to see you!

We hope many of you attend the Pioneer Women program this Saturday, Nov 16, 2:00pm by Marla Matkin, Hill City, KS at the Lincoln, KS Historical Society Museum. Marla has a long time history of performances at Lincoln Reenactments and has been an "adopted sister" to our community. Also check out what's happening during this Christmas season at the Marshall-Yohe house. The museum is again having the room adoption program, turning the home into a festive wonder land!

Village Lines is celebrating a Danish Christmas this year with the generous help from Denmark Deb (Denmark KS Heritage Foundation) who has unique Danish ornaments, cook books, (Peppernuts, anyone?), door wooden stoppers and key chains made by a Lincoln High School's beloved former music teacher, John Buckner, and more. For those with book lovers on their gift list, we have a great assortment of books authored by Lincoln area people. In fact, a book signing for Bev Nelson is happening at Village Lines on Pink Friday, Nov 22, 1:30 - 3:00 pm. The book, "Tales from Trail Creek", a collection of short stories of growing up in Denmark, KS, is Bev's first and already a best seller. I assisted Bev as she began her story telling career years ago and it is a joy to be a part of her re-entry to public performance. Denmark Deb, who encouraged and facilitated the publishing of her stories is serving authentic Danish desserts for this special event. Hope to see you !
