We are excited to participate in Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird's Local Food Challenge this summer! It's amazing to see this type of initiative at the city-level - prioritizing and elevating local food is essential for a thriving community. Let's go!

There’s something special about sharing a great meal, and even more so when it’s made with food grown right here in our community.

During the inaugural Mayor’s Local Food Challenge last year, twenty-one organizations invested nearly $600,000 in local food, supporting dozens of farmers and suppliers across our region.

As we kick off year two, I invite businesses, schools, restaurants, and institutions to take part and serve more locally sourced food to the people you feed every day. When we choose local, we support our neighbors and our economy.

Here's the Lincoln Marathon race map, to help everyone navigate Sunday AM streets, whatever you might be out and about doing. Good luck to all the Lincoln Marathon runners!

Ready to race?? The 49th Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon is on Sunday. These are the maps you’ll want to save for details about the starting line, full course and finish line.

The race starts at 14th and Vine Streets at 6:55 a.m. on May 3. Lincoln Police are working closely with our partner agencies to prepare throughout the week and on Race Day. As you’re planning, remember there will be various road closures during the marathon. It’s a team effort to make this a fun and memorable day for our racers with minimal impact on the community.

Road openings and race day photos will be posted LIVE on so make sure to follow us on X. If you’re not participating, grab a seat along the route and cheer on everyone who has put in so much work to prepare for Sunday. 🏃‍♂️👨‍🦽🚶‍♂️
