The Women's Environmental Institute is our featured produce vendor at the Lindström Public Market.
Every dollar spent with a local farmer does more than buy lettuce, kale, or turnips. It helps keep farmland in production, supports small farms, strengthens our local economy, and ensures that future generations have access to fresh, locally grown food.
We know local food isn't always the cheapest option. But sometimes the conversation isn't about cost alone. It's about what kind of community we want to build.
Community over convenience.
Community over shipping.
Community over anonymous supply chains.
When you buy from local farmers, you're investing in your neighbors, your town, and the people working hard to grow food right here in Minnesota.
Want a CSA from the WEI? You can pick it up at the Lindström Public Market.
See you Saturday. 🥬
Our Summer CSA (weekly organic produce boxes) starts July 11, so now is the time to invest in your local, chemical- and pesticide-free food system! There are so many reasons to sign up for Community Supported Agriculture - over the next 10 days we'll share our top 10. Thank you all for your support - we have plenty of CSA spots available! https://w-e-i.org/purchase-csa
Reason #10: For more than 20 years, WEI has combined grassroots, collaborative activism for Environmental Justice with growing healthy, delicious food for our communities. From Southside Green Zones to reducing the toxic harm of PFAS forever chemicals and supporting the efforts of the Zero Burn Coalition, WEI has been at the heart of collaborative EJ actions since 2003. Revenue from our CSA program helps funds these efforts, so when you purchase a CSA, you are helping make sure that work continues. Thank you!
