Just look at this face! 🐷 How is it even possible not to fall completely head over heels in love with her?!
​Between the tiny tongue blep, that huge laughing smile, and her cozy lounge poses, she is pure, unfiltered personality. She makes it completely impossible not to melt into a puddle. All she wants in this world is to be loved—and she has a bottomless supply of love to give right back (even with her turkey sidekick hovering over her like a personal bodyguard 😂🦃).

Guess who got jealous of the pie pumpkins stealing the spotlight?
🎃👀 That’s right—the carving pumpkins put their stems down and decided they weren’t waiting another minute!
We officially picked our first batch of full-sized pumpkins in all different shapes, sizes, and colors (from sunny yellow to classic deep orange!), and they’ve made their grand reappearance at RMT Farms & Market! 🚜✨
And because we were already out in the field getting our hands dirty, we also grabbed the very first batch of corn stalks to bring down to the store. 🌾 Perfect for getting those front porches autumn-ready!
Since the season is just kicking off, we’ll keep heading out to the patch to pick fresh ones as they ripen, so the store stays fully stocked all season long.
Now, if we could just get Mother Nature to check the calendar and drop these temperatures so we can actually wear our sweaters, we’d be all set! 😅🍂🌡️

To our wonderful farm family and community,

So many of you who have dropped by the store recently have gently asked about the "For Sale" sign in our front yard. Because we’ve always built this farm on a promise of complete transparency, we want to clear the air, answer your questions, and share what’s going on directly from our hearts.

**What’s Happening with the House**
Yes, we have officially listed the house for sale. After a lot of thoughtful family discussions, we made the decision to start exploring our options. A combination of factors brought us here—most importantly my own steadily declining health, our desire to be closer to family, and the constantly rising costs of maintenance and repairs on an old farmhouse. We are testing the waters to see if we get any bites now, rather than waiting for an aging house to make the decision for us down the road.

**What This Means for RMT Farms & Market**
We want to reassure you as clearly and warmly as possible: **Our business is NOT closing, is NOT for sale, and will continue operating as normal.**

***Current Operations: We are open right here at our Litchfield location during our normal hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
***Fresh Baked Goods: We are returning to our full baking schedule starting this week! Our shelves will remain fully stocked with all the homemade treats and farm-fresh favorites you love.
***No Interruptions: There will be zero interruption in service while we are here.

**Looking Ahead to the Future**
In the event that the house sells, the farm store will simply relocate—it will not shut down. While the final details are still being worked out, both location options we are considering are up in **Wilton**. One option is on land we own right next to our family’s farm, which would allow us to bring all of our farming operations together in one place.

Our customers are the absolute top priority and the heartbeat of everything we do. As plans develop, you will be the first to know.

What’s this I see?? Can it be?? Yes, it is! 🎃
​The pumpkins have officially made their grand appearance at our farm store! We have started by picking our small and pie pumpkins, which are available right now for $1.20/lb. We'll be starting to pick our full-size carving pumpkins within a week or so!
​It’s starting to look like fall around here—now we just need Mother Nature to give us that crisp fall weather. 🍂

Christmas came early for us here on the farm! 🎄🚜
​They say getting a package is the fun part, but I have to say the real fun is the unboxing—and the absolute best part is putting it together and seeing all that hard work pay off. It took us about a day and a half to get this new mini excavator fully built, but just look at her now! (Check out the photos to see the progress from the crate, to the unwrapping, the assembly, and the final finished product.)
​I cannot wait to start putting this thing to work around the property. Now we are just waiting on two more deliveries to arrive with all the attachments we ordered to help us conquer our projects and then some.
​On a more personal note, as my health continues to decline, it becomes ever more necessary to invest in pieces of equipment like this. It’s what will allow me to continue doing what I love every day. ❤️

Even the sunflowers are absolutely loving this year's growing season! 🌻 Take a look at these huge sunflowers that just opened up. These beauties stand tall—a good 1 to 2 feet taller than me! And I'm not the only one enjoying them; the bees are definitely happy to see them blooming and are already hard at work. 🐝💛

Whoa, is it just us, or is this season flying right by?! 🌻🏃‍♂️💨
We’ve been up bright and early every single morning, harvesting to take full advantage of this incredibly beautiful growing season! We've been working hard to keep the store fully stocked with the absolute freshest treats for you and your family's weekend enjoyment. 🧺☀️
As a reminder, everything here is 100% grown and picked by hand. We never use chemicals or sprays, and no machinery ever touches our fields. It’s just pure, clean, chemical-free goodness from our family to yours! 🌱👐

Here is what’s fresh from the fields this morning and waiting for you in the store:
🍉 Fruity & Sweet: Cantaloupe, red seeded watermelon, yellow watermelon, and Paula Red apples!
🍅 Veggies & More: Plump red slicing tomatoes, green tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, fresh-picked juicy sweet corn, zucchini, beets, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, red potatoes, onions, and celery.
🍂 Squash: Spaghetti, buttercup, delicata, and acorn squash!

🎃 PUMPKIN WATCH!
For our pumpkin lovers, they are growing incredibly fast. Apparently, the pumpkins decided they just don't want to wait this year! 😂 We are hoping to have our first pie pumpkins hitting the store as early as Tuesday, with full-size pumpkins arriving in the next couple of weeks!

We have bulk canning tomatoes available by special request only. Please send us a PM, or give us a call/text ahead of time to request bulk amounts so we can tuck some aside for you.
