Congratulations to the Littleton Farmers' Market on a successful opening day of their 30th season! While the weather isn't always wanting to cooperate, we sure are! The Littleton Food Co-op proudly facilitates Market Match and EBT tokens at the market. Just look for the green tent at the front with the big radish on it πŸ˜„ Stop by at the beginning of your visit and one of our staff members can help you turn the dollars on your SNAP/EBT card into double the market tokens, accepted by many participating vendors. Littleton Farmers' Market is every Sunday, rain or shine, from 10AM - 1PM through mid-October 🌻

And then come up the hill to stock up on everything else you need at the Co-op!

Every year as we prepare to celebrate Pride Month in June, we know there will be a range of reactions to the Pride flag displayed here at the Littleton Food Co-op. Many people see it as a symbol of belonging, support, and visibility. Others may wonder why we display it at all, or ask what it has to do with the work we do every day. "Don't you guys just sell vegetables?" "Stick to your business"

Our mission has always been about more than the products we offer or the services we provide. A cooperative does not exist without the people behind it. It is about creating a place where neighbors can connect, where differences are respected, and where everyone can feel a sense of belonging.

The values we stand for don't change with the calendar. The flag is not a new statement or a seasonal gestureβ€”it is a reflection of who we strive to be all year long. We believe that every person in our community deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We believe our community is stronger when people feel safe being themselves. And, just like our motto says, we believe everyone should know they are welcome here.

A flag alone cannot solve injustice or erase the systemic challenges the LGBTQ+ community continues to face. But symbols matter because they communicate our values. They remind people that they are seen. They tell members of our community that they do not have to wonder whether they belong when they walk through our doors.

So this Pride Month, and every month, the Littleton Food Co-op remains committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive space for all. We are grateful for the diverse individuals, families, and experiences that make up our community, and we look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and celebrate together.

Everyone is welcome here πŸ’œπŸ’šπŸ§‘πŸ’›

Happy June! On this first of the month, we invite you to join us in welcoming our next 2026 Partner of the Month round-up recipient, Grafton County Senior Citizens Council (GCSCC). That sounds like a fancy name, but you most likely recognize their local services, including the Littleton Area Senior Center, Meals on Wheels deliveries and congregate dining programs, and transportation to critical locations for eligible individuals. Your change donations at the Co-op registers during June will support Meals on Wheels and congregate dining programs by offsetting the rising costs of food and fuel, while also making sure the meal preparation is done safely. And to older Americans, food is more than just fuel -- it's connection, dignity, autonomy, and peace of mind to our neighbors aging in place. Whether it’s helping someone get to lunch at the Littleton Area Senior Center or receive a meal at home, every donation will make a direct, local difference here in Littleton. Round up today πŸͺ™πŸͺ™πŸͺ™

If you shop at the Littleton Co-op, you're probably familiar with the company Equal Exchange. We carry their fruit, teas, coffee, chocolate, and more. Equal Exchange is pretty omnipresent at the Co-op for good reason -- they are a cooperative company dedicated to the Fair Trade movement. While big corporations pay overseas farmers as little as possible (so they end up with the highest amount of profit to take home), Equal Exchange has been paying a premium to small-scale international farmers for forty years. We think that's work worth celebrating πŸŽ‰

Please join us Thursday, June 4th at the Littleton Food Co-op for a celebration of Equal Exchange's 40 years in the Fair Trade business. A worker-owner of Equal Exchange is traveling to the Co-op to share about their co-op's history, and how the organization is supporting farmer resiliency today. It's FREE, and of course we'll be serving up Equal Exchange snacks. RSVP at our website so we know you're coming ⬇️

Equal Exchange, a leader in the Fair Trade movement, is celebrating 40 years of transparency and democracy. Come learn and celebrate!
