This week, Tuesday the 9th through Saturday the 13th, we’re having an early bird special!! 15% off 12 bottle mixed cases and 10% off mixed 6-packs!! Come in and stock up for all the holiday parties to come and avoid the last minute crowds. We’ll also be running some fun daily deals on different cheeses!

This Friday the 14th!! The Livingston Depot Center is hosting its 20th annual Wine and Beer Tasting! Besides being able to taste and order dozens of different wines, there will be a silent auction, wine pulls, and a raffle for this beautiful gift box we made! $5/ticket, $450 value — you can buy tickets here at the shop. We hope to see you there this Friday evening!

It’s been two and a half years since The Gourmet Cellar changed hands. A heartfelt thank you to Deb for creating something truly extraordinary, a shop as unique and special as the community it serves. And to John, your countless hours, care, and energy have been essential to the shop’s success. Thank you for being such a good colleague, and an even greater friend.

A big shout-out as well to Annie at Rocky Mountain Wine Company for joining us on this momentous occasion. Great dinner, great wine, even greater company.

A very belated recap on our trip to France in January! We had such a fantastic time meeting some of the most incredible winemakers in Champagne and Burgundy. Besides their delicious wines, they offered us such kind and generous hospitality. We are excited and grateful to be able to sell their wines here in Montana!

We have to give our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to our good friends John and Selena for coordinating such a fun and rewarding trip and for putting together such an amazing group of people. We also owe our import partners Jeffrey, Christine, and Chloe from , Garth and Kat from , Joe , and for their time and for introducing us to so many great producers. We can promise that we’ll be back.

Give John and Selena a follow and check out all the great posts they’ve made on each of the winemakers we visited. We’d also recommend checking out the wonderful photos and winemaker portraits took (and you should definitely visit him and Jake in Cody as soon as you can).

Calvin and John are going to France! We’ll be traveling through Champagne and Burgundy visiting some of our favorite producers! It’s hard work but somebody’s got to do it, and we’re willing to sacrifice ourselves in order to bring the fine folk of Livingston only the best wines!

This means, however, that we’ll have to close while we travel. We’ll be closed from January 21st to February 1st and will reopen Tuesday, February 4th.

Besides stocking up on wine for our absence, we have steep discounts on cheese until we leave! Great deals are already labeled in the case, but if you see something you want, haggle with us! The last thing we want is cheese languishing while we’re gone!

We’re very excited to participate in again this year! This program gives us access to truly rare cheeses made during the summer months unique to particular Swiss mountain pastures. These cheeses come from small family producers who practice transhumance, moving their family and their animals up to the high alpine meadows in the summer to graze. It’s an incredible opportunity and privilege to try some of these beautiful raw milk cheeses that you won’t see anywhere else!

The annual wine and beer tasting is next Friday, the 15th! Come join us for a wonderful evening of wine, beer, and snacks at the beautiful and historic Livingston Depot!

You’ll have the opportunity to taste almost 30 wines poured by our favorite distributors and can play the wine pull for a chance to win a number of great bottles. We are also selling raffle tickets for beautiful gift basket with a $450 value!

(P.S.: if it were us, we’d follow up the tasting by heading to the storytelling event later in the evening, which is also always a great time!)
