At Sustainable Harvest Farm LLC, farming keeps us humble. One day the soil is too wet to work, and the next day conditions are just right. When everything lines up — the weather, the timing, the equipment — it’s exhilarating to watch the work come together smoothly.

In this video, we’re mowing and incorporating a cover crop back into the soil — one of the ways we build healthier, more resilient ground for the vegetables we grow. Healthy soil doesn’t happen overnight, and every pass across the field is part of a much bigger commitment to stewardship.

Of course, farming is always dynamic. Something as simple as one flat tire on the big tractor can turn a good day into a logistical headache fast. But days like this remind us why we do it.

People often think farming is just planting and picking—but on a vegetable farm to crops, fixing equipment, washing and packing produce, managing deliveries, answering messages, and making sure everything runs smoothly from seed to table. Some days, raising the crop really does feel like the easier part.

Behind it all is a dedicated team that keeps things moving—people who care deeply about the land, the food, and this community. I’m grateful every day to be surrounded by such talented hands and hearts.
