Friends of the Garden -
Could you please help us spread the word that we do not currently have a U-Pick option for the garden? Due to the rain, cooler-than-normal temperatures, and someone helping themselves to hundreds of pounds of green tomatoes (more than once), we are behind on having an abundance of produce coming ripe all at once. There are signs posted that U-Pick isn't currently available. We will post if this changes. Due to theft, we have set up some security measures around the garden. It isn't what we wanted, but we also have a commitment to the community and we hope to meet that commitment again this year.
Our security system has captured people picking despite posted signs. Please, if you see someone doing this let them know that it is currently not open for picking. We appreciate the Garden guardians. We do have volunteers and a few teen helpers working as well. We are a friendly group and want to be protective of the plants for everyone.
Please respect the tape, cones and signs posted across the garden. As always, we appreciate your patronage and support as we collectively support our community!
