So ! Today's taping schedule of the Mama Nano's Politely Spicy Cooking Show will include, Ben Harrison's, soon to be famous 'Meatloaf', a kid's challenge cook-off with surprise ingredients, Chuck Wallace doing some salmon recipes, Shadow Rose Fann's chili, and Mama Nano's tortilla pan pizza! The taping will start at 1 pm in the 20th place Fred Meyer, NW 20th & Burnside. The demo kitchen is on the Mezzanine above the deli.

Only just 3 days til the first filming of, 'Mama Nano's Politely Spicy Cooking show' ! This Sunday, from 1 pm til 8 pm, and we'd be delighted to have you as one of our charter presenters or guests!

We're going to be using the incredible 'demonstration kitchen' that Fred Meyer built during the recent remodel of their old store on NW 20th & Broadway.

The show will be a bit 'different', with a special 'twist'. Regular folks who have a passion for cooking, and a willingness to share, will be the 'guest chefs'.

The format is intended to be very open-ended as to recipes, and we're looking for all ages ... even youngsters, to join in the fun!

Encouraging people to cook more, eat healthy, share recipe ideas and techniques, and maybe even disclose some wonderful 'family secrets', is what it's all about... with a dash of fun thrown in!

The kitchen is well equipped: two ovens, refrigerators, gas range, a back prep kitchen, plenty of work area, wonderful lighting, lots of utensils, pots & pans, etc. and even seating area for about 20. There is a 'lot' of equipment, but you're welcome to bring your own special gadgets too!

Video production and digital media is being done by Kevin Hunter, who has many years of experience creating content for YouTube and related social media venues. We plan on posting the episodes on Facebook and YouTube.

My role will be to facilitate to the best of my limited ability. While our Mama Nano's product lends itself to many recipes (I will be filming some of our creations from time to time), there is absolutely no obligation or expectation that you use it in 'your' recipes, however I will donate it as requested.

This is YOUR show, and opportunity to share !
Be brave ! We have 2 openings for the first session!

There's plenty of safe parking under the store, and I'll have parking passes available if needed to avoid the 2 hour limit.

Here's the NEWS! We're creating an On-Line Cooking Show... starring 'YOU' ... creating and sharing what 'YOU' really enjoy cooking! The whole idea is to encourage folks to do more cooking, as a healthy alternative to relying on processed foods. You're invited to be the 'stars', by demonstrating the 'what and how', offering helpful tips, and maybe giving light to some 'secret family recipes'! There's absolutely no age limit, youngsters, families and friends are all invited to join in the fun.

We will be putting the episodes on Facebook and YouTube. Taping will be done on location at the newly remodeled Stadium Fred Meyer, at 20th & West Burnside in Portland. They have an absolutely wonderful new 'demonstration kitchen', and have been very gracious in making it available to us. It has just about everything you'll need in the way of utensils and equipment, and seating for 24 (yes, there may be an audience as your fame begins to spread :)

Feels like a good day for a cold pasta salad adorned with Mama Nano's and some Parmesan cheese ! My favorite is the multicolored Rotini. Boil and drain, rinse with cold water, then refrigerate til you're ready to serve. Mix in a pint of Mama Nano's and sprinkle the cheese on top, then maybe decorate with a few sliced cherry tomatoes? YUMMM ! I'll be serving that today at the New Seasons on 164th in Vancouver from 11 to 6. They have a 'First Thursday' event where there will be about 20 food vendors sampling. Happy rainy June 2nd !!
