Are you making any of the following common mistakes?
1. Not Having a Clear Why
You need an authentic reason behind why you want to change your habit. Something like âI just want to lose weightâ is not enough.
You need a strong emotional trigger behind WHY you want to change.
That could be anything from wanting to feel confident on the beach this summer, to fitting into your perfect wedding dress, or being more active for your children.
Find your unique emotional motivator and remember it every single day.
2. Not Creating the Right Environment
You must have the conditions around you that are conducive to your success.
You can give yourself a huge helping hand by paying attention to your surroundings and knowing that they support your endeavors.
That means donât have any tempting snacks in the house if youâre trying to lose weight.
Plan ahead so that you always have healthy ingredients to hand, or if your challenge is sticking to exercise, make sure your gym bag is packed and ready with clean workout clothes and by the door.
I Used To Look 15 Years Older Than My Husband (Then I Did This)
For 12 years Iâd tried everything to clear my skin and lose weight but nothing worked.
Everyone thought I looked 15 years older than my husband, even though we had the same ageâŚ
I was close to giving up...
Until I discovered something called "Cleopatra's hack" that involves a blue Egyptian flower...
I used it like this for 15 seconds every evening to clear my skin and get a smooth complexionâŚ
And I even got rid of my bloating and lost a few pounds in the process!

3. Not Having a Positive Alternative
When you are trying to change a bad habit you need to replace it with something positive, something that empowers you to stick to your new ways.
The best way to change an old way of doing things is to replace it with a new habit instead. If you want to give up your nightly glass of wine, you need to replace it with an alternative, either a healthy beverage or even going for a walk or dancing to some tunes.
You have to replace your bad habit with a NEW alternative, thatâs the only way to actually stop doing the thing you are so accustomed to doing.
4. Trying to Do Too Much at Once
Itâs great to be enthusiastic about making changes but sometimes that initial excitement can mean that you get too optimistic about what you are capable of doing all at once.
Itâs possible, but unlikely that you will get rid of all your bad habits in one go.
Youâre actually more likely to succeed if you focus on changing one habit at a time and doing it well.
If you want to give up eating cheese AND drinking alcohol, you might want to just focus on cutting out one thing at a time to actually make lasting changes and not experience burn-out as you try to adjust to all the new habits.
The feeling of watching yourself succeed in one area will give you an amazing confidence boost to continue onwards.
So to recap, make sure you address all of the above before setting out on your mission for creating new habits.
Remember - you have all the power within you right now, today to create the life you want for yourself.
