Plot twist: if you’re a plant person, you’re already one of the cool kids. PERIOD🌿😂
I look through photos from these markets and see vendors, collectors, volunteers, old friends, new friends, and people I met for the first time that day.
And that’s what I love about the plant community.
Your “cool kids” don’t have to be some group you’re looking at from across the room. They’re the people standing next to you talking about plants, soil mixes, fertilizers, pollination, the plant you’ve been hunting for forever… all the wonderfully nerdy things plant people somehow turn into a 45-minute conversation. 😂
Stop looking across and look right next to you.
You don’t have to know anybody before coming to a D’Vine Market. Come by yourself. Come with your plant bestie. Talk to a vendor. Ask somebody what plant they’re holding. Start talking to the person standing beside you in the greenhouse. You’ll probably leave having met somebody new.
That has always been the kind of space I want D’Vine Market to be.
Plants bring some really cool-ass people together. 💚
And a special thank you to the vendors, collectors, friends and volunteers pictured here who helped make Tropical Plant Fest what it was.
