store in Lostine, Oregon was founded in 1907 and operated continuously for over a century by the Crow family. Since it's beginning, the store has bee a fixture of the Lostine community and has offered a wide variety of goods to Wallowa County residents and visitors. In 2013, the Crow family decided to leave the business due to the modern day realities of running a rural general store. Just prior t

o closing the doors, Tyler Hays, a designer and artist stepped and bought the store. Tyler grew up in Joseph and has strong family connections to Wallowa County. Crow to the preserve the classic general store that his great-grandparents patronized. Crow is a family business that is a combination of many things. We are a general store, local meeting place, brewery, an outlet for M. Crow products, and the home of M.

It's almost the middle of September*, which means it's probably time we post our September special, the Sungolds & Sausage pizza! We're slinging a white sauce pie topped with balsamic roasted sungold tomatoes, ricotta, our housemade fennel sausage, garlic, basil, chili flake and topped with fresh arugula. Yum!

*Editors note: I reminded Ross a million times to post about this pizza, but he kept forgetting because he's obviously not keeping busy enough.

You've probably heard the big news: Michael "The Junkman" Junkins is headed to Switzerland next week for a two-year hiatus. In what some might call a questionable decision, he's left me (Ross) at the helm to keep the doors open and the b**r cold.

I just wanted to publicly say thank you for trusting me with something I know means so much to you and this community.

We'll be throwing an informal farewell party for Michael on Thursday, the 23rd, from 5:30 p.m. until close. He's a busy guy, and if you want a chance to corner him and tell him how great he is, this is probably it.

We've acquired some embarrassing photos from his kids that we'll be projecting throughout the evening, and we may or may not have made a limited run of T-shirts with his face on them. Consider that a fun surprise. Sorry Michael!

July's Pizza Of The Month is here!
The Sweet Cornaline (so good! so good! so good!) has made its annual return. Roasted sweet corn, red onion, hot peppers, basil, and garlic on a white pie. It's sweet, a little spicy, and always a summer favorite. Available all month long.

Love is is in the air, the kid of a local is tying the knot, and we couldn't say no to a M crow wedding party. We will be back to our normal operation tomorrow.
