This “Lemonade” journey was never really about Lemonade. Back in 2022 I was in the driver seat of my black Infiniti sports car. I had driven big SUVs for many many years thinking I needed “lots” of space for all the “things”. I didnt really want a sports car but my husband had bought me this car and said I “needed” it - so I went with it. My kids were in the back seat of this little bitty car as I was driving down the road when they asked me if they could start a Lemonade stand. I said “sure”. What they said next stopped me in my tracks…
They said you always say that, but then you don’t follow through with letting us do stuff like this. I stopped. They HAD MY ATTENTION! I didn’t want to be THAT Mom! — so I started brainstorming.
A Lemonade stand in the countryside at our house wasn’t practical so I decided a Farmer’s Market would be a better idea. But wait…. I drive this tiny sports car. This is the kind of “things” I needed the SUVs for. So here we were again— a reason not to follow through. But I remembered how genuine they were in their idea. So… I found a way to pack everything into my little car and we went to the Farmers Market.
We had got up before the sun was up that morning. It was cold that day. Sprinkling rain and breezy. Nonetheless, the Lemonade Stand was a success. Now I was faced with a new problem… it was a SUCCESS! - now what?! I couldn’t let their Lemonade stand be a one and done success. I went back to brainstorming, finding places to set up the lemonade stand. My mom suggested bringing the stand up to Louisiana. At first I resisted, but then I remembered I didn’t want to be THAT person. So I listened and the rest is history! (Kind of 😉).
Since then the lemonade stand has transitioned into a full menu cafe and gift shop, an ice cream shop, a traveling fresh squeezed lemonade stand, and a custom catering service. We have alot of ideas we still plan and pray for daily. For 15 years most of our mornings and nights start and end the same way — with an informal family business and planning conference. You will see some of those plans come to life in the coming months.
We have been heavily involved in the revitalization of Louisiana for a few years now. Some days are harder than others, but regardless we work at it EVERYDAY in one form or another. We are involved in the revitalization of this town in a lot of ways that we never share of social media. Please know- we are intentional, purposeful, confident and passionate about it, as much today as the day we started. Some of you have been supporting us from the very beginning. Some of you are just now discovering us. - regardless if you support us in any way- big or small, we appreciate you!
I haven’t posted much in the past couple months. So now seems like a good time to say Thank YOU to those of you who have ordered catering or large orders from us recently and for those of you who have reserved the dining room for your dinner gatherings and dinner meetings! Thank YOU!

We have invested a lot of time, money and energy in to this town and would love to be able to continue to do that! We have been asked by many to take on more catering orders, if you would like a catering bid, need to place a large order in advance or want to reserve the dining room- send a Facebook message or text 573-587-5934
