It's Wednesday and time for the LCBA Farmers Market. The Market opens at 3:00 p.m. on the parking lot of the American Legion Post 370. The address is 420 Kelly Ln., Louisiana, MO. Peggy will be there with zucchini, new potatoes, onions, snap peas, broccoli, carrots, beets, garlic scapes and cherry tomatoes. Dayla will be introducing a strawberry pound cake along with chocolate chip cookies, turtle brownies, croutons, granola and handcrafted jewelry. Melissa will have her beautiful art work, T-shirts and handcrafted jewelry. I will have 1 pound of fresh picked green beans, 1 pint of sweet snow peas, 4 bags of mixed walnut and pecan candied nuts and 5 bags of Muddie Buddies/Puppy Chow. Dale will have her amazing soaps, beautiful hand made crafts and maybe a few other plants and things. Cindy will be there with jams, jellies and her spectacular pastas. Who knows, there may be other items that are coming as they come into season. You will just have to come out and see what we have! It's always something wonderful and fresh!

Happy Monday everyone!
It was brought to my attention that event flyers from various organizations within our community are being removed around town. The Farmers Market flyers are included in the disappearance. I was blessed to have a vendor who volunteered to make flyers for the Market, since I was still recovering from surgery. Now, she is upset, and I don't blame her, because there are flyers missing. My husband and I drove around yesterday afternoon replacing ones that had disappeared. It is a shame that there are those in the community that would be so disrespectful of others time and cost to print and put these flyers up for community information. If you see anyone removing flyers that are posted for any organization, please let me know. We have some wonderful organizations within Louisiana and it takes many hours and personal labor to put events together for the community enjoyment. As the Manager of the LCBA Farmers Market, I express my greatest appreciation to all of the Vendors and the Customers who come out every Wednesday in support of the Market. You are the BEST!! See you all at the Market!
