🌱 Help Shape the Future of the Old Louisville Farmers Market 🌱

As we begin planning for the next chapter of the Old Louisville Farmers Market, we're reflecting on just how far we've come together.

In just three short years, our community has built something special. What started as a neighborhood dream has grown into a thriving market that connects neighbors, supports local businesses, and expands access to fresh food. In 2025 alone, we hosted 14 market days, welcomed 56 vendors, drew nearly 4,500 visitors, and provided expanded SNAP, Kentucky Double Dollars, and nutrition relief programming to neighbors who needed it most.

At the heart of that story is our co-founder, La Bravia Jenkins, whose vision helped bring this market to life. She first dreamed of creating the market in 2023 and remained deeply committed to making fresh food accessible to all members of our community. Her leadership, generosity, and belief in the power of neighbors helping neighbors continue to guide our work every day.

As we honor La Bravia's legacy and look toward the future, we are seeking community members who want to help steward and strengthen the market for years to come.

Board Member Applications are now open!

We're looking for people who believe in community, local food, and neighborhood connection. Whether your background is in fundraising, marketing, finance, nonprofit governance, agriculture, food access, or simply showing up and caring about your community, we'd love to hear from you. Board members attend twice-monthly meetings, serve on a committee, and volunteer throughout the market season.

The market exists because neighbors invest their time, talents, and hearts into it. If you've ever thought about getting more involved, this is your opportunity.
