Hello friends. Market season started this month. If you’re wondering where I have been, I have some unfortunate news. In Cheeses’ Name won’t be participating this year.
If you have been following me since last market season, you know that my mom unexpectedly passed away last July. She did not have a will, and I am an only child.
At the end of May, this cheeseball will be relocating to my mom’s place in Alabama to take care of the business and legalities of officially inheriting her property and closing out her life. I’ve put it off for close to a year now, which is both hard to believe and understandable, I’d like to think.
I’d much rather be making food for y’all than doing this very important, exceedingly hard and painful thing. But everything is temporary, and this too will pass. And I know y’all will welcome me back when the time comes.
So.
Hug your mamas, tell your people you love them while they’re here. Eat cheese, enjoy the things that bring you joy. Practice gratitude. I hope you have the opportunity to say goodbye to your loved ones like I did with her.

I love you, Louisville. Thank you for the opportunity to have been a part of such an amazing community of farmers and makers. Phoenix Hill NuLu Farmer's Market Douglass Loop Farmers Market Norton Commons farmers market.
Peace out for now.

This morning I sent 53 pimento cheese sandwiches and 17 snack packs with my incredibly good hearted friends from ( and others) to Princeton and Dawson Springs, KY, two rural cities that were devastated by the tornadoes last week.
One of my many homes is in Todd County, one of the surrounding affected areas. I spent my teenage years there, mostly in the woods or in a book or on the TCCHS softball field or basketball court. The people are top notch. Part of my heart will always belong there.
One of my other homes is in Birmingham, AL. On April 27, 2011 most of the state was hit by a huge supercell outbreak. My family and I came out unscathed; I know dozens of people who were much less fortunate. Whole neighborhoods were turned into rubble in just a few chaotic minutes. The devastation from these events is absolute and very hard to wrap you’re mind around unless you’ve lived it.
But you know what shines in the wake of disaster? Community. Folks really show up for each other. I mean **REALLY REALLY**. Folks remember how important it is to take care of each other.
I was so proud of you then, Alabama, and I am so proud of you now, Kentucky. Louisville’s got your back. You fill my heart with hope.
This will be a long journey back to some kind of normalcy. These folks will need help for a good long while. If you can’t help physically, please donate. Message me and I will tell you where to send money/items.
Thanks for reading.

I almost missed it, but I’d like to thank you all for your support this year. What a ride it has been. The scene is really amazing - customers, vendors, and managers all. We all need to thank and financially support our every chance we get. It is hugely important work that they do for our world and our community.
And y’all take every opportunity to hug your people.
Cheeses loves you and I thank you.

I’m terrible about taking pics. I just don’t. But I’m funny, so you good people get cheese memes instead, and I guess you’ll just have to experience my products firsthand.
Thank you all for a lovely first season. Today was a wrap for summer markets for my fledgling biz. The farmers market community of vendors and customers is nothing short of wonderful. I am so grateful to have been a part of such grassroots support. Louisville is blessed, y’all.
See you soon. Keep an eye out here for updates.

Sat 10/30 Douglass Loop Farmers Market 10-2. I will not be in town next weekend. Last call for a bit.
The pics are as follows:
1. Garlic sage butter. Y’all love my butters, so here is a fall-themed one. is ready for you to brown and top some winter squash or thanksgiving turkey or tofurkey with. As are all my butters, it.is.legit.
2. Soft pretzels. This was an experimental batch. Yes they were ugly, yes they were still damn delicious. They have evolved into pretzel knots, and by god they’re even more delicious this way.
3. Cheese. Parmigiano Reggiano is maybe my favorite cheese, FYI. It has been made for at least a thousand years. Do not fk with greatness.
4. My fav spooky meme. You’re welcome.

. Warm, comforting, and so simple, because I’ve already done the work for you. You literally just have to cook your noodles, pour the beer cheese on it with a little milk or cream and garlic salt, and stir it up. If you want to bake it for that cracker crunch, just be sure to cook your noodles al dente and add a bit more liquid. The topping is just cracker crumbs and melted butter. This dish is a hug to your insides. Soul nourishment.
And, well, I do like to make things fancy because , but on my own time I am a huge fan of showing respect by keeping it very simple.
And while I usually connect with Leslie Knope, sometimes I feel like Ron Swanson.
Cheeses loves you.

Y’all all been tagging me in this pic this week 🤣 I’m here to tell you it’s true 😇. Also I’ve concocted this amazing Mexican Street Corn Dip which will be perfect for your Halloween or Dia de los Mu***os party, as well as a couple other new items that I’m stoked about. Please come see me at Douglass Loop tomorrow 10-2. This lovely fall weather is fantastic and proof that Cheeses Loves You. Put your sweater on and get outside, folks!

“Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy,” to quote Ben Franklin. Beer + cheese = well that’s 2 gifts from the fermentation gods, crafted into a whole lot of warmth and love. Made with malty Danke Chain Octoberfest, I’ve got this recipe down.
Catch it at on Saturday from 10-2. Maybe I’ll even make some pretzels for y’all.

On a less savory note, I am having to miss today due to health issues (***nothing contagious, don’t worry. Turns out my guts are more tender than my feet!). So be sure to come and see me on Saturday pls n thx.

Did you know that cabbage looks like a sea star from the bottom?!
I just got back into town Thursday night and I managed to get into the kitchen yesterday. I’ve got , with produce, and with Octoberfest. I’ll be in town for at least a couple Saturdays, so please come say hello and grab some treats for yourself. Next week I’ll have Burrata and probably pimento and benedictine.
Cheeses loves you.
