🌱 Meet the Farmers Behind Your Food
This is the fifth in a series of posts introducing you to some of the people behind the local produce you’ll find in our cooler.
Meet Tim & Delicia Brown and their family. They are the people behind the amazing local produce from Broadview Farm and Gardens . Choices has been local food partners with them since 2017 when we first visited their farm.
Broadview Farm is just outside of Marengo. It's a nine-acre farm growing fresh market vegetables and raising heritage-breed hogs, sheep, laying hens, pastured broilers, and a newly started beef herd.
Tim and Delicia began their farm in 2014 with a simple goal: grow good food for their family and their surrounding community. What started with a backyard garden grew into a five-year plan to become full-time farmers. After restoring their land, learning from its natural rhythms, and embracing practices like rotational grazing, they took the leap into farming full time.
Today, the Browns are committed to growing the best food they can while caring for the land that makes it possible. Their story is a beautiful reminder that change, growth, and a new beginning are always possible — and sometimes, the path you never expected becomes exactly where you’re meant to be. 💚
