🐚🔥 LAPAS DAS AÇORES — a taste of the Atlantic on a shell! If you've never had grilled limpets, you're missing one of the Azores' greatest treasures. 🇵🇹 These little shellfish cling to volcanic rocks along the coastlines of São Miguel, Faial, and Pico — and when grilled with butter, garlic, and a squeeze of lemon, they're absolutely magical. ✨
🍋 How to make them at home:
1. Place limpets shell-side down on a hot grill or cast iron pan
2. Add a small k**b of garlic butter to each one
3. Sprinkle with sea salt & chilli flakes
4. Grill 3–4 mins until the butter is bubbling 5. Finish with fresh parsley & lemon

The parade begins at 6:00 PM at the Reds Club, 512 Central Street, and proceeds through downtown Lowell to City Hall for the annual flag raising ceremony.
