If you’ve never tried tempeh before, here’s your sign to give it a try!
Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food made by fermenting soybeans into a firm, sliceable cake. The fermentation gives it a hearty texture and a delicious, nutty flavor; and it’s a great source of plant-based protein. 💚
Unlike tofu, which is soft and smooth, tempeh has a firmer, chewier texture that makes it great for marinating, grilling, pan frying, crumbling into tacos, adding to stirfrys, and so much more!
And you can try it locally! BosTempeh will be at the Lowell Farmers’ Market with their handmade tempeh. Stop by, chat with them, and maybe take home something new for dinner!
📍 350A Dutton Street, Lowell MA
🕐 Market Opens Fridays (July-Oct) 1-5pm
