As we count down to opening day at the Lubec Farmers Market (5/23/26), we’re excited to introduce the amazing farmers, bakers, makers, and artists who make our market so special.

Today we’re featuring returning vendor Josh Pond Farm from Whiting, Maine!

Nestled in Downeast Maine, Josh Pond Farm is a family-run farm known for its organic wild blueberries, artisan cheeses, jams, jellies, and other thoughtfully crafted farm products. Their farm is home to rolling blueberry barrens, orchards, and herds of goats, with a deep commitment to slow, honest farming traditions and caring for the land. From hand-harvested berries to small-batch cheeses, everything at Josh Pond reflects the beauty and flavor of Maine.

We’re thrilled to welcome them back for the 2026 market season and can’t wait for you to experience all the incredible products they bring to the Lubec Farmers Market!

Today we’re featuring Great Wass Shellfish!

A new and growing oyster farm from Downeast Maine, Great Wass Shellfish is helping carry on Maine’s working waterfront traditions through sustainable aquaculture and locally raised oysters. Their oysters are grown in the cold, clean waters of Washington County, bringing fresh coastal flavor straight from the bay to the market table. 

We’re excited to welcome them to the 2026 market season and can’t wait for marketgoers to learn more about this exciting local shellfish operation!

Pen & Cob Farm is a family farm inspired by the flavors of Downeast Maine, creating specialty foods with both farmed and foraged ingredients. Their mission is centered around flavor, quality, uniqueness, and showcasing the incredible abundance growing right here in our region. From small-batch jams and preserves to creative seasonal specialties, everything they make reflects their love of the land and local ingredients.

Today we’re featuring Rime Farm from Charlotte, Maine!

Rime Farm offers truly pastured eggs, quality meats, and a variety of value-added farm products, all raised with thoughtful stewardship and care. Their farm is also home to hardworking livestock guardian dogs who help protect the animals and are an important part of daily farm life.

We’re excited to have them join us for the 2026 market season and look forward to sharing all they’ll bring to the Lubec Farmers Market!

Each day, we’ll spotlight one of our vendors so you can get to know the people behind the fresh food, handmade goods, and local creativity you’ll find at the market this summer.

First up: 🥧 Pie Ladies Bakery of Pembroke!

Known for their delicious homemade baked goods and sweet treats, Pie Ladies Bakery brings comfort, tradition, and plenty of flavor to Downeast Maine. Stay tuned to learn more about what they’ll have at market this season!
