Saturday, we had the honor of preparing the meat and cheese table for the Kewaunee County Dairy Promotion Committee's Farm Meets Fork Gala, hosted by Heim's Hillcrest Dairy.

It was a beautiful day, and we hope everyone enjoyed an even more wonderful evening celebrating our local dairy community. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of such a special event and to serve an incredible selection of locally produced meats and cheeses from some of our area's outstanding businesses. We are grateful to be part of a community that supports local agriculture!

On July 24, 1946, Carl Pagel purchased the original farm that would become Pagel's Ponderosa Dairy. Eighty years later, we're proud to still be producing milk and crafting cheese right here in Wisconsin.

🧀 Did you know your cheese takes quite the journey before it reaches your refrigerator? It all starts right on the farm with the cows.

To create our award-winning cheeses, we begin with the freshest milk possible. After milking, the milk travels directly from the parlor to our on-site cheese plant, where the cheesemaking process begins.

Our talented cheesemakers take tremendous pride in every batch they craft, combining tradition, skill, and attention to detail to produce the high-quality, farmstead cheeses you've come to know and love.

Once the cheese is ready, it makes its way to our retail store, where our team carefully flavors(if needed), weighs, packages, and prepares each product. From there, some of it is stocked on our shelves, while the rest is shipped to grocery stores, gas stations, specialty retailers, and other locations across the region.

From the farm to your family's table, every block, curd, and whip represents the dedication of an incredible team working together every step of the way. We're proud to bring you fresh, handcrafted, farmstead cheese made with care from start to finish.
