Multi-color, free range, all organic eggs. Beautiful deep orange yolks atest to the nutrient content. These eggs can't be beat. Our daughter is doing a great job managing the laying hens.

We are up and running in Colorado Springs. Last year we had much to learn about growing a garden in yet another climate. We've learned our lessons and are off to a good start with boatloads of lettuce and spinach.

Finally picked up a little rain today, warmer weather has caused the bugs to increase exponentially, so hopefully we get some colder weather to send them to hibernation because they're eating all the lettuce and broccoli. In other news, military just gave us orders and we're headed to Arizona in January.

We sure are glad the weather has turned cooler, but need some rain to get the fall crop to germinate.

The green beans are still producing an amazing amount. We've canned all we need for the winter. Yesterday, we started yanking up bean plants and feeding them to the goats. Time to plant some of the fall veggies!

The summer bounty continues. Time to can tomatoes and green beans again!

another 3 inches of rain today means a tomatoes will swell and crack again. Oh well, at least the green beans are liking this weather.

We will be taking a few weeks off the new baden farmers market. It is time for us to can some of our produce for the winter and plant the fall crops. We'll see y'all back there sometime around the first of September. You can always come out to the farm for fresh produce, just call ahead.
