At the market today we will be celebrating National Farmers Market Week. We will have FREE ice cream sundaes donated by Stewarts (located in the Auxiliary Building and served by youth group of Forest Church), FREE facepainting, games for kids and of course our many vendors with produce, baked goods, and crafts.
In the pavilion we have EBT/SNAP tokens with FreshConnect Coupons. Each family with children at home will receive $5 "coupons for kids" to purchase fruits and veggies from our farmers. Also in the pavilion is a free raffle donated by Mary Ellen McManus.
Forest Church will have a tent with free raffles to celebrate their 200th anniversary.
It's going to be a great weather day. See you at the Riverside Park, 11 am to 4 pm

The market's SNAP/EBT tokens will be up and running tomorrow at the market. We apologize for the delay, as a reminder, in order to get SNAP $1 tokens, you will need to use your EBT card and know your pin number. With the tokens you may purchase fruits, vegetables, breads, eggs, cheese, seeds and plants that produce for the household, honey, maple syrup, meats, poultry, fish, only at our market. Tokens are not valid at other markets. COME TO THE MARKET BOOTH IN THE PAVILION FOR THE TOKENS.

We also have "Coupons for Kids" in the pavilion, which are sponsored by Finds Forest (Forest Church) and Farm Credit East, the Lyons Falls ALIVE Market. Every family with children at home my get one $5 coupon a week to purchase fruits & veggies at our market.

The market also has a season long 50-50 raffle, $1 per ticket or 15 tickets for $5.

Each week Mary Ellen McManus donates a basket to raffle, everyone gets one free ticket, additional tickets are $1 each. Proceeds will go to our market for the "Coupons for Kids" and the 2027 fireworks next July.

The 60+ Farmers Market Coupons for 2026 will be distributed on July 14 at the Office for the Aging, outer Stowe St., Lowville, ny 13367. Starting at 9 am until gone. It will be a drive-thru pickup.

At our opening market day, June 9th, Rowe Wheeler, Veterans Benefits Advisor, will be attending the market to provide FreshConnect Coupons to veterans, 11am to 2 pm. The coupons can be used at our market for meats, eggs, baked goods, vegetables & fruits, or any market that accepts FreshConnect Coupons.
