Strong to severe storms are possible this evening mainly along and north of I-70 to the nebraska border, the best chance for severe weather this evening will be from Marysville to Seneca to Hiawatha kansas

Main hazards from severe storms tonight will be Large Hail and Damaging Winds around 40-50 mph, heavy rainfall could cause localized ponding on roads and minor creek rises

Initial storm development should be between 9pm to midnight tonight, those from Concordia, Manhattan, Topeka, and Lawrence a few severe storms will be possible for you but they maybe on the lower end of the severe storm criteria, still small hail and winds to 40-50 mph will be the main threats

Good evening kansas, hope you had a wonderful Thursday

Showers and thunderstorms are going to return to the forecast for portions of kansas beginning Friday and through the weekend, a few storms maybe strong to severe as well

Northeast kansas- your round of severe weather looks to be increasing tomorrow night say around 8pm Friday to 1am Saturday, the best shot at some sever weather would be along and east of a Marysville to Manhattan to Emporia line

Main threats from strong to severe storms will be some large hail and damaging winds of around 50-60 mph, tornado risk will in in this forecast as well but will probably be more isolated in the evening..

Saturday the severe weather risk will shift west to cover portions of central, eastern, kansas as well as south central kansas, best shot of some severe weather Saturday will be along and south of a Concordia to Holton to Atchison line

Again main threats from storms would be large hail and damaging winds to around 50-60 mph, a few tornadoes will also be possible as well Saturday giving the timing of storms late Saturday afternoon from 5pm to midnight... tornado risk should go down in the evening as night falls..

Some heavy rainfall will also be occurring with the severe weather threat as well so some localized flooding is not out of the forecast
