Sometimes, a reminder of why we do what we do shows up when we least expect it 💛
We received this message from someone who was blessed with a few of our baked goods through her local food bank. She shared how much she appreciated them, how excited she was to try our pecan cinnamon rolls, and how she hoped to order from us someday when she was able.
And honestly? It stopped us in our tracks.
At The Crusty Cottage, we believe baking is about more than bread. It’s about serving people, sharing what we’ve been given, and being faithful with what God has placed in our hands.
Every week, we have the opportunity to donate leftover baked goods to Giving Hands Food Pantry. It’s something we’re grateful to be able to do, but messages like this remind us that we may never fully know where those loaves, rolls, and treats end up—or how much they might mean to someone on the receiving end.
We started this little bakery with a simple heart: Love God. Trust God. Serve people. Give with gratitude.
This is what that looks like in real life. Not always something big or extraordinary. Sometimes, it’s simply a loaf of bread or a box of cinnamon rolls that finds its way to someone who needed a little encouragement.
We are so thankful God allows us to be part of that.
And to the sweet person who sent this message: thank you. You encouraged us more than you know. We’re praying for you and cheering you on.
You never know who needs a little kindness right now. And you never know how God might use something small to make a big difference.
