Build Your Bloom: A Journey of Growth and Giving

Build Your Bloom started with a simple act of giving. I began growing flowers to donate to a local nonprofit, where they created bouquets to sell and purchase Bibles for a rehab program. When the nonprofit closed, I didn’t stop—I shifted. Today, I give away 200 bouquets for free each season as “Jars of Joy” throughout my community.

For me, this isn’t just about growing—it’s about giving. Giving healthy food. Giving joy. And sharing my love for gardening in a way that brings people back to what really matters.

I started and fell in love with gardening in 2023 and recently authored TEND: The Superpower of Gardening as Self-Care, an Amazon bestseller. What started as a personal outlet has now grown into something I get to share.

This season at the farmers’ market, you’ll find me offering organic produce, jams, jellies, and fresh bouquets—grown with intention and care. My motto is simple: Eat what you grow—and give what you can.

Stop by, say hello, and pick up something beautiful. 💐

Hello, I’m McKenzie (Macy)! My business is called Sunset Candle and I make candles made from 100% soy wax. I make them in sizes of 8oz, 16oz, and wax melts! The candles are poured into glass candle jars with glass lids.

I hand pour each candle and each wax melt myself. Before beginning, I knew I wanted to make candles that are safe and healthy when burning. So after much research, I decided to craft each of them using pure soy wax. Soy wax is among the healthiest waxes and is also eco-friendly.

I have enjoyed learning about them and seeing my products come to life. I know I love a relaxing day with a candle burning, and I hope others will enjoy them too! 😊
