We are gearing up for spring, building chicken tractors, putting up the high tunnel and mending fences. We are also taking meat orders for the upcoming season. All animals on Golden Harvest Farms are pasture, grass based and antibiotic and hormone free.
We'll have pastured chickens for sell, both GMO free and regular grain feed, in both whole birds and parts (breast, leg, thigh, and wings) starting in late May through October.
GMO free eggs look like they will be offered as well starting in May.
Grass feed goat meat, ground, legs, loin, roast, and whole are currently available and GMO free goat will be available in the Fall.
A few pastured pigs will be raised this year if there is an interest in them and will be offered as whole animal, half animal, and we'll be selling sausage, ribs, pork chops, and roast. Sausage will be available in early February.
Finally, grass feed beef is on the menu. We are taking a nice animal off in early February and can take orders on Half and whole cow up until then. Other wise we'll be selling grass feed hamburger, steaks, ribs, and roast in Mid February.

Our new purebred Kiko buck, "Zeus" got the VIP treatment on Monday and got to ride inside the truck with us. It was just to cold for him to be in the back of the truck. I just hope he doesn't expect to be this pampered all the time.

Now that we have moved back on the farm,things are moving along. At a slow pace mind you,but every bit of work getting done feels like a step closer to making this a dream come true.The barn is getting cleaned out and Monday we are picking up our new breeding buck Zeus and introducing him to our goat ladies. lets hope all will be well in our harem! pictures to come.
