We want to take a moment to explain the reduction in stops for our 🥕Mobile Market 🥦 this year. As many of you know, our Mobile Market plays a crucial role in making fresh produce accessible to low-income households in our community - this is why our stops are focused on areas where the need is greatest.

Shortage of staffing is a significant factor contributing to the reduced stops this year. Just like many businesses and organizations around the world, we have not been immune to the challenging labor market. Without the necessary staff, it is difficult for us to maintain the same level of operational capacity year to year.

In addition to staffing challenges, there have been significant cost concerns with the market. As a not-for-profit, it is essential that the Market operates efficiently while keeping costs manageable. Unfortunately, the rising expenses associated with running the Mobile Market, from fuel to product to staffing, have necessitated careful evaluation and adjustments to ensure its long-term sustainability.

We understand these changes may inconvenience some of you who have come to rely on and enjoy the Mobile Market for your fresh produce needs, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Now more than ever, it's crucial that we come together as a community and show kindness and empathy towards one another.
