For so many in EMS, Emergency! wasn’t just a television show, it was the first time the world saw what a paramedic could be.
Johnny Gage inspired countless EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, nurses, and dispatchers to answer a calling that would become a lifetime of service.
Randolph Mantooth never claimed to be one of us.
But he never stopped standing beside us.
Thank you for helping the world see EMS—not just as a profession, but as people.
Today, we honor a man whose legacy reaches far beyond television screens.
