Tonight is the night 7/22/26 5:30pm
At the Morton County, North Dakota - Government building 210 2nd Ave NW Mandan, planning and zoning is reviewing the draft ordinance for Data Centers
Tonight's Morton County Planning & Zoning Commission meeting includes a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Morton County Land Use Code that would establish specific use standards for data centers in areas where Morton County exercises zoning authority.
A point of clarification that may help:
Not all land in Morton County is regulated by Morton County zoning. Incorporated cities have their own zoning authority and land use regulations. The attached map shows where the City of Mandan's zoning authority ends and where Morton County's begins.
The proposed amendment being considered tonight applies only to land within Morton County's zoning jurisdiction.
If you'd like to comment on the proposed amendment, you're welcome to participate during tonight's public hearing. No pre-registration is required. When the chair opens the public hearing, simply come to the podium, state your name for the record, and share your comments.
You can also participate virtually. Please keep your microphone muted until recognized by the chair. If you'd like to speak during the public hearing, use the Raise Hand feature in GoTo Meeting so you can be called on in order. The chairperson may establish a time limit for speakers.

On right the map, blue outline, shows Morton County land area but they have no authority over as it is the city of Mandan’s extraterritorial zone. Pass the blue line is Morton County zoning authority.
