We have "battened down the hatches" on the farm and are getting ready for these storms. There isnt't much to do now but pray to whatever God you worship that the storms are not as severe as forecasted. Good luck to all of the farmers out there scrambling to get animals and structures secured! We have had an extreme blizzard, 100 mph straight line winds and now this next few days of severe weather all in the span of like 2 and a half months. What a wild planting season it has been. Hoping and praying for NORMAL weather one of these weeks.

We are so grateful for the help of our friends and family, without them we’d be lost! Huge shoutout to Conor’s brother Brendan (and dog Charlie) for helping us raise this tunnel. Over the past few years of basically nonstop production, this tunnel sunk probably about 9 inches down and with some brute force and help this past week, we got it raised and fully wind braced! Each season starts out with LOTS of infrastructure projects that need to be tackled before we shift our focus to planting/production. We have rebuilt a tunnel just about every year due to some kind of wind and weather damage and while it can be daunting and exhausting, we have learned so much. With the rising and bracing of this last tunnel, we are hopeful for a successful tunnel season!

We are excited for this summer season and can’t wait to catch everyone at the and Farmers Market!

A big thank you shout out to all of our customers today down at the Manitowoc Farmers Market! Our hearts are filled to the brim with all of your warm faces and great conversations! It was so nice to be back downtown selling our produce after our short break between our winter and summer market. We are eager to get more produce ready for you all and are very excited for what this season will bring! THANK YOU ALL AND SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!
