EHHD Health District The EHHD provides public health serves to 10 member towns in Northeastern CT

We are part of a county-wide collaboration to promote and improve access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity for everyone, every day. This collaboration is led by the Eastern Highlands Health District and the North Central District Health Department in partnership with many organizations, agencies, and individuals. Prevent Lyme Disease (transmitted by ticks). Don't let that creepy crawler stick around long enough to expose you and result in (another round of) antibiotics! Removing ticks before they can become engorged can stop Lyme from being transmitted.

The Connecticut Department of Public Health has confirmed a case in an unvaccinated adult Hartford County resident who recently traveled internationally. The individual developed symptoms after returning and is currently hospitalized in stable condition.
Measles is a highly contagious respiratory illness that spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
