Cool mornings make me want to get the crackpot out. Making Italian venison pot roast with tomatoes, onions, bell peppers with a kick, garlic, home made tomato sauce, red wine and seasoned with herbs, pepper and CHILE LIME SALT. I will serve it over creamy polenta that will also have some CHILE LIME SALT tonight. I love the brightness the lime gives to this savory dish.

New sizes for our salt flavors. These are great sample sizes 1 oz (or more) about 2 full tablespoons. Throw a few into your travel bags when you go camping or to a vacation rental. Tuck them into a popcorn or kitchen themed gift basket. Hope you like them!

Fresh Rosemary Feta Spread is in the refrigerator at Juanita's Kitchen at Mary Mack's Mercantile at Park Square .

1 block of cream cheese
6 tablespoon of fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon of JMF Farms - Mansfield MO lemon rosemary salt
1/2 fresh lemon juice
5 ounce Feta

Blead together in a stand mixer. Serve on crackers or breads.

How do you use our Lemon Sugar?

I sprinkle it on fresh fruit for shortcake and also use it to top sugar cookies, muffins or scones. A little bit goes a long way in these applications and you get that burst of sweet lemon right on your tongue! I also add it to my herbal tea for a sweet lemony taste.

My granddaughters love to help me make this easy sweet snack.

Lemon Snack Crackers
Take a bag of oyster crackers and empty it on a baking sheet. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of melted salted butter over the crackers, add 2 tablespoons of lemon sugar and gently toss the crackers and spread out into a single layer. Put into a 350 degree oven and bake for 6-8 minutes until the crackers are lightly browned. You can add another teaspoon of the sugar over the warm crackers if you want a little sweeter snack. Let cool and enjoy!

You can also use our Vanilla Sugar for these snacks. Reminds me of vanilla wafers! At our tasting poll at the farmer's market, it was a split decision on which one was the favorite!

We are excited to share some news. We have been testing the waters by offering our homemade culinary salts, sugars, and pesto at the Mansfield Farmer's Market this year. I have really enjoyed meeting new people and sharing our passion for flavor. Now, you can find our products at two locations: Mary Mack's Mercantile at Park Square and The Little Farm Association's online farmers market.
