At Urban Farmer, we believe New Hire Orientation is about so much more than paperwork and videos — it’s about making people feel welcomed, supported, and safe from day one. ❤️🍕

As part of orientation, we love bringing our new team members together over a nice lunch break while they complete training focused on food safety, workplace safety, and overall well-being. Safety is one of our top priorities because we want every employee to leave work the same way they came in.

What makes this even more special is that our training goes beyond the workplace. We focus on sharing safety practices and knowledge that can also be useful at home and in everyday life because caring for our people does not stop at the facility doors.

We also encourage many of our leadership team members to join orientation to introduce themselves, connect with new employees, and help create familiarity from the very beginning. We want our team to know they have resources, support, and people they can turn to across the entire facility-regardless of department.

Building a strong culture starts on Day One, and we are proud of the environment we continue to create together at Urban Farmer. 🙌

Today, we honor and remember Specialist Donald Edward Burnaine for his service, sacrifice, and legacy. 🇺🇸

Alongside his tribute, we are also honored to share the plaque presented by the U.S. Army, his Vietnam Veteran patch, and the shell casings from the 21-gun salute held at his funeral — meaningful reminders of a life dedicated to service and love for his country.

Thank you, Chris Burnaine, for sharing these special memories of your father and allowing us to help celebrate and remember his legacy. ❤️

Today we honor William Terrell Grant, a World War II Airman whose legacy continues to live on through the stories, memories, and love shared by his family. 🇺🇸

Thank you, Paige Antognoli, for allowing us to remember and celebrate such a meaningful life. Heroes like William remind us of the true meaning behind Memorial Day. ❤️

Today, we pause as a company to honor, remember, and reflect on the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. 🇺🇸❤️

Memorial Day is more than just a holiday — it is a day filled with gratitude, remembrance, and love for those who gave everything so we could have the freedoms we enjoy each day.

At Urban Farmer, we are deeply honored to recognize and remember the loved ones connected to our UF family who served our nation with courage, strength, and pride. Throughout the day, we will be sharing stories, memories, and tributes in honor of these heroes and the incredible impact they left behind. It is truly a privilege for us to help keep their memories alive and to stand beside our employees as we remember them together.

We also understand that for many, today carries a heaviness that words cannot fully express. To those who may not feel ready to share, please know that is more than okay. Some losses are deeply personal, and some memories can make days like today especially difficult. We hold space in our hearts for you and your loved ones as well. ❤️

Today, we remember. Today, we honor. Today, we thank the heroes who will never be forgotten.

Okay okay… here’s PART 2 of our Week 3 Wellness Month recap because we simply had TOO many amazing community partners with us this week not to share 💚✨

This week, we were honored to welcome United Way and Harbor House as part of our ongoing wellness initiatives and employee support programs.
United Way continues to make an incredible impact by connecting individuals and families with valuable local resources and services that support education, financial stability, health, and overall community wellbeing.
We also had the privilege of welcoming Harbor House, an organization doing truly meaningful work by supporting survivors of domestic violence through advocacy, shelter, counseling, education, and compassionate care for those in need.
These partnerships mean so much to us because they help us continue building a workplace where employees feel supported not only at work, but in life. 💚

A huge THANK YOU to both organizations for spending time with our team and helping us continue creating a people-first culture centered around wellness, compassion, and community.
We’re so grateful for every partnership, conversation, and opportunity to bring resources directly to our employees. More wellness month fun to come! 👏✨

At Urban Farmer, Wellness Month has been all about finding meaningful ways to support our employees not just at work, but in everyday life too 💚
This week, we were incredibly excited to partner with Commute with Enterprise as we officially kick off our Enterprise Commute Program! 🚐✨

This program provides customizable vanpool and rideshare services that connect coworkers who live in the same area, helping make the daily commute easier, more affordable, and more enjoyable. Employees can ride together in recent-model SUVs or vans with insurance, maintenance, and 24/7 roadside assistance all bundled into one shared monthly rate.
Another exciting step toward creating even more connection, support, and community amongst our employees. 💚

At Urban Farmer, we truly believe the strongest workplaces are built when businesses and community partners come together to positively impact people’s everyday lives. Whether it’s supporting wellbeing, creating accessibility, building friendships, or simply helping make someone’s day a little easier these partnerships matter.

🌟 Week 2 of Wellness Month at Urban Farmer was another great success! 🌟
Last week on 5/13, we continued focusing on supporting our employees both inside and outside of work by highlighting valuable resources available to them and their families. 💙
We were excited to feature:

🏦 Onsite support from Peoples Bank
🛍️ Reminders about our LifeMart employee discounts and savings program
🤝 Information on our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offering support and resources for everyday life challenges

At Urban Farmer, we know moms are basically superheroes… just with less sleep, more snacks in their purse, and the ability to hear “MOMMMM” from 3 rooms away 💐😂

This past Friday, we celebrated the incredible moms of Urban Farmer with flowers, a special Mother’s Day raffle basket, and a planter box giveaway so our moms can show off their gardening skills too 🌸🪴 (because apparently keeping humans alive isn’t enough hobbies already 😅).
To all the moms on our team, thank you for the early mornings, long days, endless sacrifices, and all the love you pour into both your families and our workplace. Your strength, patience, and heart never go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything you do every single day.

We hope this small celebration reminded you just how appreciated you truly are. Happy Mother’s Day to all our amazing UF moms 💚
