Unfortunately, due to new regulations put out by the State Agriculture Department. The Manti Farmers Market will be canceled this season. The goal now is to have all the requirements met for next year.

If you are interested in being a vendor at the Manti Farmers Market this year, there is going to be a market meeting on Wednesday June 28, at 7pm. It will be held at the Manti City Park under the west pavillion.

Hey folks! The Utah State Extension Agent will be at the Manti Farmers Market tomorrow at 11 am to test pressure canners free of charge. Hope to see you all there!

Thanks to all those that participated in the cook off this year! It was a huge hit. Thanks to the judges: Robert, Penny and Dirk. 1st place for savory dish went to Katy who made a delicious chili and 1st place for the sweet dish went to Kris and her crew. They made a wonderful Pioneer Community cake. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed the free samples. We will have another cook-off next year!

Tell your family and friends about our 1st annual Cook-Off Contest!

Details about the contest:

1. Each participant needs to bring a sweet OR savory dish they have prepared using LOCAL PRODUCE.
2. Each participant must bring a short description of the sweet or savory dish they have prepared. Please include your name, the name of the dish, which ingredients were local grown, a description of the dish (the judges will be reading it so make it marketable!).
3. Each participant (if possible) would need to bring a casserole size dish where they will be able to give samples to the public. We will provide the small plates/small cups to put the samples in.
4. If willing, each participant can email their recipe if they would like to share it with others. Please email it to [email protected] no later than August 16th. Recipes will be available after the contest.
5. Early sign up is encouraged but last-minute participants are still welcome. Please text LeAnn Layton at 435-851-2133 or email (use the above email).
6. Three judges will be chosen from the community and they will unanimously decide the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
