Let me begin with the name Cajun Envie’ (Envie’ French word for Desire); which we found fitting since there is such a big desire for Cajun Specialty Meats and Cajun Cuisine on Toledo Bend Lake. Robert and I are both natives from South Louisiana (Cajun Country) and bring many years of experience in Cajun cooking as well as previous business owners. We were fortunate at a young age to experience and
learn authentic Cajun cooking in both our Mom and Grandma’s kitchen, including growing and canning fresh vegetables to butcheries making boudin, crackin and yes, pickled pig’s feet. Robert also has many years of experience as a business owner in offshore catering, entertainment and hospitality services. Our biggest passion and enjoyment in life has always been cooking and entertaining family, friends and customers. A few years ago, we made the decision to relocate on Toledo Bend Lake with a vision and dream of opening Cajun Envie’. In the past two years we faced many unforeseen challenges in this industry. Our faith, perseverance and with GOD’s blessing we continue to move forward and project the opening of Cajun Envie’ by Spring or Summer of 2022.
