This morning, the smoker’s been rolling since before sunrise.
By the time Mapleton starts waking up, the smell has already found its way into the air... slow-smoked St. Louis ribs, rich smoke drifting down the street, the kind of aroma that makes people slow down for a second and breathe a little deeper. The kind that feels familiar in a way you can’t quite explain.
