You pick strawberries will be open on Saturday, June 20 at 8 AM. We anticipate being open through the morning. It’s all dependent on the number of pickers that come. We will not allow the fields to get over picked. We did have a lot of pickers today on June 19. Strawberries are ripening, but with it being cooler, they are not ripening as fast as we like. There are plenty
of berries to pick and we the anticipate picking season shall go for at least another 10 days if not longer; it is all dependent on the weather. If you do plan to come anytime after 11 on Saturday, we do suggest you call ahead to the farm Stand or like us on Facebook for any updated post - thank you and have a good day.

Good morning you pick strawberries is open today June 17 at 8 AM. Will remain open through the day until it begins to rain heavy at that time we will close. We do not anticipate opening on Thursday based upon the forecast and we plan to be open on June 19 at 8 AM to 6 PM weather permitting and berry conditions. You Pick Strawberries open today Wednesday June 17 at 8AM at Candella’s Farm 9256 River Rd, Marcy, NY. Come out before it rains! We are watching the weather for the next few days for You Pick Strawberries at Candella’s Farm. We are considering opening on Wednesday AM; we will be closed Thursday and open on Friday. As we have shared, each day we are seeing more and more strawberries ripen to red, so by Friday we are anticipating some great picking conditions. We look forward to seeing you at Candella’s Farm for You Pick Strawberries. Later tonight, after monitoring the weather conditions for tomorrow, we will post if we think we can squeeze out a number of hours of good picking conditions on Wednesday. For Friday, June 19th, we expect to be open from 8am to 6pm at You Pick; make your plans now.

Berries are ripening and we expect more patches to come on throughout the week. Thank you for your patience as we work with Mother Nature!

Candella's Farm U-Pick Guidelines
💰 Pricing: $3.50/lb — cash only. Bring your own containers or purchase one from us before entering the field. Containers cannot be returned once purchased.
🕐 Hours are subject to change due to weather and field conditions. Check Facebook or call ahead before coming.
🚜 Stay in designated areas only. Staff will direct you to the open patch of the day.
⚠️ Field conditions: Ground is uneven — watch your step. Those with mobility challenges are welcome at our farmstand instead.
👶 Kids are welcome! Please supervise children and ask them to walk carefully, avoid stepping on plants, and not throw berries.
🐾 No pets in the fields. Service animals are welcome in the farm store only, per food safety regulations (FSMA Produce Safety Rule).
🚫 No eating in the fields (water is OK) | No smoking or va**ng
🐜 Apply bug spray before entering and check for ticks after.
🍓 Respect the plants — no stepping on berries or plants, and walk around rows rather than stepping over them.
We reserve the right to ask guests who cannot follow health and safety guidelines to leave. All policies comply with USDA, NY Department of Agriculture and Markets, and our liability insurance requirements.
