Tomorrow is going to be an AMAZING day for TWO reasons:

1. Have you SEEN the forecast?? 70 and sunny- a perfect May day to be out and about!

2. You will be able to find LO goodies in THREE spots tomorrow!!
-At our farm store at 1606 Georgeville Rd in Marion Center (with fresh veggies, meats, dairy, & baked goods including the featured cookie dough croissants 😋) from 10 to 4
-At Smiling Goat’s new farmers market (with baked goods & beef) from 10 to 2 alongside other fantastic vendors
-As part of a permanent addition to Cattywampus Co (622 Philadelphia St, Indiana) with scoops & more launching tomorrow 10-8:30 & Sunday 12-4

This video may not look like much, but we are so excited here this morning because the killdeer eggs HATCHED! We were worried they might not- her nest was close to the road so she was constantly getting up and running around to try to protect the eggs. She was getting close to the end of the usual incubation period and we hadn’t seen any signs of hatching. We weren’t sure they had been kept warm enough.

But this morning, we were greeted by three brand new “puff balls on stilts” as Aaron calls them. 🤣 Easily some of the cutest baby birds!! The mother killdeer is already doing a great job of trying to keep them safe and they all went in opposite directions as soon as they saw us. We couldn’t get a better video because we didn’t want to stress her out. Don’t mind the lack of mowing- we were doing our best not to disturb her to give the eggs the best chance. 😊

It’s a great day to appreciate the little things. Happy Wednesday!!

THERE COMES A DAY we all have to learn to drink from a cup. Right? Well, the same rules apply to the animal kingdom. There comes a day, everyone has to learn to drink from a bucket, a stream, etc.!

Okay, its officially impossible to get a full picture of the gardens with the new addition. ( I've already changed my mind about this entire set up for 2027)

If you ever wondered how I get these pictures..... here's how 😜 No fancy drone, lol. I just crawl on top of the nearest building, reach my arms up as high as I can, and try to get a shot 🤣 other times I stand on top of my car or in a bucket on a piece of equipment. It's fine, haha (we used to sled ride off of this particular roof when we were kids. I remember ripping snow suits on the roofing nails and jumping into not so soft piles of snow from the peak 🤣)

Anyway, I thought I'd show you the current layout of the garden since its Memorial Day and we are about to get busy planting these fields!

All these flowers are hand planted NEW EACH YEAR with plants started in our greenhouse! We maintain our soil with compost and HAND W**D and care for everything so your flowers from Lone Oak are CLEAN TO TOUCH AND SAFE TO SMELL🌸
