🚨VENDOR SPOTLIGHT🚨

Country Nerd Farm is a certified organic mushroom farm here in the Mariposa foothills! Barbara and Vasken grow a variety of edible mushrooms like shiitake, lion’s mane, several types of oyster mushrooms, and other functional fungi such as reishi. They utilize local and sustainable substrate on their farm and use the most natural and carbon-friendly processes during production. 🍄‍🟫

We have your lettuce mix and arugula…even in the summer! We invested in a lot of shade structures all over the farm since day one because we knew we would need shade for the summer growing season….and we knew you all would still want to eat some greens then too! We aren’t able to grow the quantities of it that we can in the spring and fall because they do bolt pretty quickly and a lot of our beds are full with summer crops.

We often get asked how we handle the “weeds” growing in the crops. The simple answer is that we don’t have too many because we don’t till our soil. When you till up your soil you are bringing all the “weed” seeds to the surface and they love a freshly disturbed piece of ground to grow on.

When we harvest, we pay attention and pull the few “weeds” out that we see.

Tomorrow is a Kids Bucks Day at the market!!

It's peak produce season!

Come join us tomorrow at the Mariposa Certified Farmers' Market for the August Kids Market, 4:30 - 6:30 pm. All Mariposa County youth under 18 years old can receive $5 for fruits & veggies.
