⚠️ Please Be Aware of a Likely Scam Event

We have been made aware of a “Marquette Art and Craft Vendor Market” being advertised for the Marquette Commons on September 19–20, September 26–27, and October 10–11, with a $100 vendor registration fee.

This is not an event taking place at the Marquette Commons, and we do not have any information about or authorization for this event. The Marquette Farmers Market will be taking place at the Commons during these dates and times.

If you have been contacted about this vendor market or asked to pay a registration fee, please be aware that this is likely a scam. We recommend not sending payment or providing personal or business information.

Please share this information with other vendors and businesses who may have received the solicitation.

Celebrate National Farmers Market Week Starting This Saturday

National Farmers Market Week is celebrated the first week of August. Come down to the Market for Veggie Tattoos, Free Bags, and shopping from some great local vendors.

While your shopping think about grabbing an extra item or two to donate to the Harvest Fund. The Harvest Fund is away for the community to donate local produce directly to food pantries in our area.

- Buy an extra item or two of produce
- Bring it to the Information Booth
- The Market works with the Marquette Food Coop to get the donated produce into local Food Pantries

Volunteer fixers from the local Repair Cafe will be at the Power of Produce tent this Saturday to assist you with minor repairs, free of charge. They will be prepared to help with general household item repairs, textile mending, minor bike maintenance and repairs, and basic electrical appliances (no microwaves or smartphones). New repairs will be accepted from 9am until 12:30pm. Please be prepared to remain at the booth and collaborate on your repair!

Additionally, join for a Bike Maintenance Workshop at 11am inside the Commons Building! This free workshop will feature a demonstration and instruction from Quick Stop Bike Shop and will cover the basics of bike maintenance and repair. Bring your bike!

Repair Cafe is an international mutual aid project in which volunteer fixers aid their community with repairs, extending projects’ longevity and empowering folks to tinker. The Marquette Repair Cafe is sponsored by Peter White Public Library, Friends of PWPL, and the Marquette Sustainability Coalition.

Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization recently received a grant from the Superior Health Foundation to support a maternal health initiative. As part of this project, we are gathering feedback from local community members to better understand the barriers, challenges, and gaps in maternal health services and support within our community. Input will help guide our efforts and ensure we are addressing the most pressing needs of UP residents.

Marquette Family Medicine Residency Program
At our Community Table, we will promote preventive health and medication safety by offering free blood pressure screenings and education about hypertension, cardiovascular health, and healthy lifestyle habits. We will also provide free medication lock boxes while supplies last and educate community members on the importance of safe medication storage and proper disposal of unused medications. Our goal is to increase awareness of preventive healthcare practices and reduce the risk of medication-related harm in the community.
