Kitchen & Catering Operations Lead
Full Time (approx. 32-40 hours/week)
$21-$23/hour, based on experience

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Kitchen & Catering Operations Lead to oversee daily kitchen production and help execute our catering program.
This is a working leadership position, not a traditional chef role. The right person enjoys preparing beautiful food, creating order in a busy kitchen, training others patiently and making sure every order is complete, accurate and ready on time.
Responsibilities include:
-Lead daily kitchen preparation and production
-Prepare café foods, charcuterie, catering items and seasonal/grab and go offerings
-Organize prep lists and assign daily priorities
-Monitor ingredients, inventory and ordering needs
-Maintain recipe, portion and presentation standards
-Work alongside kitchen employees patiently and consistently
-Ensure food-safety, sanitation, labeling and storage procedures
-Complete final quality checks on café and catering orders
-Assist with occasional deliveries, setups and special events
-Communicate concerns early and bring possible solutions
Preferred Experience:
-Professional kitchen, catering or food-production experience
-Leadership or employee-training experience preferred
-Strong organization and time-management skills
-Dependable attendance and professional communication
-Consistent food-safety and sanitation habits
-Ability to follow established recipes, systems and procedures
-Calm and respectful approach to training and correction
-ServSafe Manager certification preferred or willingness to obtain it
-Catering, charcuterie, café or specialty-food experience is a plus
Availability must include Fridays, Saturdays and key holiday periods. Occasional early mornings, evenings and off-site events may be required.
This is an active position requiring extended standing, bending, reaching and the ability to safely lift and carry approximately 40 pounds.
