This month is Reading Month at the Mason library and kids up to 18 can select a FREE book from the Friends booksale. Also this month, seed sharing at your library! College Club meets tonight.
Sunday, March 15, Season of Blessing packing Birthday kits 10:30 at the Mason First Methodist church, 201 E. Ash. Follows service at 9;30, all welcome. Quilting 101 At Maple St.Mall (fee), 1 pm. 1-3 pm Egg hunt at MHS pool, $6/5 seniors. For more info see Mason Aquatic Center.
Monday March 16 Freely Given Clothing Closet open 11am -1 pm. 118 W. Oak St. south of library. Also Vita tax service by appointment, call 211 and ask for Mason site. City Council meeting 6;30 pm.
Tuesday March 17 Crafts at Bestsellers, 1-3 pm. Mason Food Bank Open, Freely Given Clothing Closet open, 4-6pm. First time clients at food bank need to register before pickup, call 676-2563. Tax preparation assistance is available, call 211 and ask for Mason site.
Wednesday, March 18 Hometown USA Chamber committee meets, 9 am at Chamber or on zoom. Daily Scoop sherberts are made inhouse; they also serves grilled cheese sandwiches. Try a refreshing “medicinal” raspberry shake – to make you feel better! Fireside social 1pm, enjoy conversation, crafting or recipe exchange – now retitled “Hygge”. Capital Area Community Services, 676-1065 has United Way Tax preparation bus in Methodist Church parking lot behind the building March 8, 25 and April 15;10am. Free for those who make $64,000 or less. Call if any questions. 6:15 is book club at Bestsellers.
Thursday, March 19 Mason Senior Welcome Club meets at City Hall 11:30, bring your own lunch, coffee and water furnished. Short meeting and bingo/cards. Fairgrounds has Quartermania fundraiser at 6 p.m.(bring your quarters), Pub Theology meets at Bad Brewing 7-8 pm. Depot Diner open for dinner 5-8 pm. Mason High School Performing Arts Spring play “Clue” 7 p.m./ tickets available online or at the door. Seniors, use your gold card for one free entry. Available at the Adminstration office, City Hall, 2nd floor.
