Well that's a wrap for the 2025 deer season we are done accepting deer and have closed, we would like to thank all of you for choosing us for your processing and wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year,

With the season rapidly coming to an end we want to remind those of you still hunting to try and bring your deer in before they are frozen, once frozen they take up to a week to thaw enough for processing, also any of you that have frozen deer currently hanging and wis to have them processed please bring them as soon as possible. We most likely will stop accepting deer once the southern tier wraps up depending on how many we have in the cooler. We will post when the last day for drop off is approaching. Thanks.

Just a brief reminder, We are a very busy shop and generally have 30-40 deer in the cooler at any given time. turn around time is usually 5-7 days and sometimes as long as 10 so if you hang your deer for 10-15 days and bring it in we may not accept it due to the risk of it going bad before we get to it, Everything affects carcass quality, fluctuations in temperature, moisture, improper field dressing, dirt & debris. We do our best here but we are meat cutters not magicians, once your deer begins to go downhill it continues to go downhill. We do not accept deer that are roadkill, have been skinned or headless, deer that are partially eaten by other animals or excessively mangled, please let us know if : 1) your deer has been ponch shot, 2) if it has been hosed out or dragged through water or left in the rain, 3) Date of Harvest when calling , 4) if you anticipate being unavailable to pick up your meat, make arrangements for someone to pick up for you. Thank you.

Unfortunately we are full to beyond capacity and will not be accepting deer for the next few days until we create some space.please be patient while we catch up, also if your going to hang your deer in the meantime please try to keep them dry and away from animals. Deer that have been chewed on by other animals will not be accepted, use this time to be sure the cavity is empty and a**s is removed. Thank you for your patience.

Just a tip for those of you that drag your deer from the back legs, by doing this you over extend the muscles in the rear quarters essentially tearing them and affecting the yield on your steaks. It's always best to drag from the head. And if you are dragging with an atv drag at a slow pace so you don't bruise the meat or break bones. Pic for example...
