Khalisa Taylor has been fortunate to call Western North Carolina home since the mid-1970s, where she cares for 64 acres of land. During her early years on the property, she grew bell peppers as a cash crop, which inspired the name Pepperland Farm. She has a deep love for the outdoors and a strong respect for nature and the planet.

Her growing space includes a 30’ x 70’ outdoor vegetable garden, a 16’ x 50’ greenhouse, numerous flower beds, and established blueberry plants, all maintained using organic gardening practices.

Over the years, Khalisa has grown much of the food used in the children’s camps she operated, sharing a connection to the land with younger generations. More recently, she has focused her time and energy on cultivating a variety of daylilies, daffodils, and irises alongside seasonal produce. Any extra harvest is carefully processed and sold at the Twin Cities Farmers Market.

As a dog parent who loves to bake, Khalisa also offers dog treats, cookies, muffins, and other baked goods. She is grateful to be part of a community that values shopping locally, sustainability, and thoughtfully produced food and flowers.

Meet Connie & Rick McCraw of Loggerhead Lagniappe 🐢

Connie creates beautiful quilted and sewn goods, while Rick—who loves tomatoes and all things spicy—grows cherry tomatoes and makes his own pepper sauce.

The name? Inspired by Rick’s love of loggerhead turtles, paired with a Cajun phrase meaning “a little something extra.”

Connie learned to sew in her mother’s lap and later turned her skills into a craft business after friends encouraged her to sell her handmade bowl holders. What started small has grown into a full line of items—from placemats and coasters to prayer quilts, skillet mitts, lanyards, and more. She’s always adding new creations, including wristlet purses, card holders, and upcycled shirts.

Meanwhile, Rick has been perfecting his container garden, growing a wide variety of cherry tomatoes and peppers for his signature sauce.

Stop by the Twin Cities Market to meet them, chat about their craft, and check out their products. Bonus: they’ve got water and treats if you bring your pup 🐾

Sandy calls herself an “addictive crafter,” and she’s been knitting and crocheting since age 7. You’ll often find her with needles in hand—or teaching a stranger to crochet at the market.

After exploring many crafts, she fell in love with rag rugs and reinvented them using denim. Her blue jean rugs are durable, washable, and now come in fun shapes like dog bones.

Sandy also creates magical sun catchers that cast rainbows and unique door ringers with playful, layered sounds. Her booth is a joyful mix of beads, bells, and denim creations.

You’ll also find her crocheted rugs, long-lasting scrubby cloths (even great for cleaning window screens!), knitted dishcloths, face cloths, blankets, shawls, and more.

Look for Sandy by the bridge—likely feeding the ducks and geese—and stop by to see her handmade treasures!

Meet the maker behind the color 🌈

Tina of Tina’s Tie Dye has been bringing fabric to life since 1973, when a Girl Scouts project sparked a passion that never faded. Decades later, she’s still creating vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces that blend artistry, nostalgia, and a whole lot of heart.

Specializing in natural fibers like cotton, linen, h**p, and bamboo (with the occasional silk or wool piece in the mix), Tina transforms both new and well-loved items into something completely fresh. She has a soft spot for upcycling—taking older white garments and giving them a bold second story through color.

What keeps her inspired after all these years? The magic of the process. No two dyes ever behave exactly the same, and every finished piece carries its own personality. Even better is seeing someone light up when they find the one that feels made just for them.

Her love of tie-dye extends beyond the studio—Tina especially enjoys creating alongside her grandchildren.

Stop by her booth to say hello—you’ll be greeted with a smile, good energy, and a whole spectrum of color. And if you’re wondering about her dye-day playlist… think Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, and a little country soul 🎶

Meet Abby. A Cherokee County native that has always dreamed of moving to the mountains. She grew up camping and visiting family in the area, and fell in love with the sunrises and the outdoors. Just last summer she finally moved up here with her family, and recently started a long time dream of opening up a bakery, with hopes to do a lot more than just baking.

Along with some of her families passed down specialties, she has worked hard to perfect some extra tasty treats to share with the twin cities she now calls home.

As she says, she has been through hell and back, and now feels like it’s her job to show God’s amazing love though serving others. So come try some of her delicious, unique cookies and muffins, or yummy miniature pound cakes. You’ll be glad you did!!

Cate VanHouten creates organic tallow-based skincare products with a deep respect for simplicity, tradition, and the power of natural ingredients. Her products are more than skincare—they are nourishment for the skin in its purest form. Each item is carefully crafted using high-quality, 100% grass-fed beef tallow, blended with thoughtfully selected organic oils and botanicals that support healthy, radiant skin without unnecessary additives or chemicals.

Her journey began with a personal desire to find skincare that truly worked—products that were clean, effective, and gentle. What started as a personal solution quickly grew into a passion for creating skincare rooted in both tradition and integrity.

Customers can expect transparency, quality, and care in every product she creates. Cate is committed to using only ingredients she trusts and takes pride in crafting each batch with close attention to detail. At Flossy’s Farm, Carrie Whitener creates handcrafted goat milk skincare rooted in faith, family, and intention. Carrie makes goat milk cold-process soap in small batches using fresh milk from her own goats. By milking her herd herself, she ensures quality, freshness, and a true farm-to-skin experience that cannot be replicated with powdered substitutes.

Goat’s milk is valued in skincare for its naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and gentle lactic acid. It creates a rich, creamy bar that helps support healthy-looking skin while remaining mild enough for sensitive skin types. For Carrie, this isn’t just a popular ingredient — it’s personal. She began crafting all-natural skincare after searching for gentler options to support the skin concerns of her children and grandchildren. What started as a solution for family became a passion for helping others who are looking for simple, wholesome ingredients.

Small-batch production is essential to her process. Working in smaller quantities allows Carrie to carefully control ingredients, temperature, and curing time — all vital elements in true cold-process soapmaking. This method preserves ingredient integrity and produces a long-lasting, thoughtfully crafted bar.

In addition to soap, Carrie makes goat milk lotions, lip balms, and shampoo bars, each created with the same commitment to purity and care. Every product is handcrafted, reflecting her love for creating something meaningful. Through Flossy’s Farm, Carrie shares more than skincare — she shares her farm, her values, and her belief that simple, intentional products can truly make a difference.
